Josh French - Head Coach
Coach Josh was a military brat who grew up playing lacrosse in Baltimore, MD. After his family moved to Alabama, he played for the Hoover Buccaneers and helped lead them to multiple state titles. Coach Josh has been coaching recreational and club lacrosse since 2018. Under his charge, our boys have consistently finished top three in the conference, most recently coaching our U12s to a 1st place finish in 2024. Coach Josh also serves as the Director of Coaching.
Jon Muffett - Assistant Coach
Coach Jon grew up in Fayetteville, NC where he played travel sports for Amateur Athletic Union basketball, baseball, and club soccer. He spent his high school years in Charlotte, NC where he played varsity soccer and baseball. Jon went on to attend Winthrop University and Liberty University. His lifelong passion for sports lead him to work for the Carolina Panthers during their Super Bowl bid in 2015. Coach Jon and his family relocated to Fairhope, AL in October 2020. He has been serving as an Assistant Coach and Defensive Coordinator for the past three years and is our NGLA Representative. Coach Jon is the Founder, Director, and Head Coach of Jesters Lacrosse, a highly successful club program rostered by many of our Bayhawks.
Steve Rudolph - Assistant Coach
A native Memphian, Steve grew up in an athletic family and culture at Memphis University School that embraced TEAM concepts and sportsmanship. He and his two brothers played football for his dad-Jake Rudolph, a Hall of Fame football coach & athletic director for 39 years. He started coaching lacrosse in Memphis, TN in 2003 at the high school level and was successful as both an assistant and head coach for several teams over a ten-year period while contributing to the development of lacrosse in Tennessee. His Memphis experience also included coaching at the 7th/8th grade level in 2012. Since relocating to Fairhope, AL he has coached the Bayhawks at 3rd/4th grade(10U), 5th/6th grade (12U) & 7th/8th grade (14U) levels over the past seven seasons. Steve has a true passion and love for the game and enjoys developing lacrosse skills and character in young players.
Scott Gandre - Assistant Coach
Coach Scott grew up in the Philadelphia area and has been a Lower Alabama resident since 2019. He, and his two sons were introduced to lacrosse in 2020 through the annual Learn-to-Play event. His youngest son, Nolan, has been playing ever since, and is currently on the 7th-8th grade team. This will be coach Scott’s first year coaching lacrosse and looks forward to a successful season.
